Who We Are

We exist to equip the saints to mature in Christ and multiply disciples for the glory of God.

We labor to see all our church members become mature in Christ (Col. 1:28-29). This happens as the leaders equip the saints to overcome sin, endure suffering, and use their gifts effectively for his mission (Eph. 4:10-16). As we all grow in spiritual health, this will result in compounding spiritual fruit (Eph. 4:16): an increase of conversions, a greater depth of sacrificial relationships, the raising up of new leaders, and, ultimately, the multiplication of healthy churches.

Beliefs

We believe in the supremacy of the Triune God. All things exist by his power and for his glory.

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, authoritative, and sufficient word. We need nothing else for life and godliness.

We believe that all people are created in God’s image and yet are born under the power of sin after the fall. Our greatest need, therefore, is forgiveness from sin and liberation from its power.

We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is the very power of God for salvation. We hold out the gospel, therefore, as the answer to mankind’s greatest need.

We believe in the priority of growth for every believer. God has given us his Spirit to mature us into the image of his Son.

We believe the local church is central to the life of every believer and to the fulfillment of Christ’s mission on earth.

Priorities

Expository Preaching

Christ builds his church through the proclamation of his word. Our highest priority is to faithfully explain and apply the intention of the Biblical authors for the transformation of the church.

Sacrificial Leadership

Christ leads his church through a plurality of elders. These men must have the sacrificial heart of Christ and meet the qualifications in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. They lead with God’s word and provide an example for the members to follow.

Committed Membership

Christ visibly demonstrates his glory as his people commit to one another in love. Membership helps the elders identify the specific sheep for whom they will give account. It also reinforces the vibrant body life described and commanded in the New Testament.

Biblical Counseling

Some in the church will be ensnared in sin and will need another mature member to help restore them to fruitful living (Gal. 6:1). We prioritize biblical counseling, which depends on the Spirit working through his word to transform the believer.

Church Discipline

If a church member refuses to repent, Christ commands a process of careful, loving, patient and restorative discipline (Matt. 18). If a professing believer still refuses to repent, leaders must exhibit courage and remove the unrepentant person from the assembly.

Bold Evangelism

As the church continues to mature, the Lord will use those transformed members to evangelize the community. Our church prioritizes equipping the saints for evangelism and utilizing the gifted evangelists in our midst for local growth.

Dependent Prayer

God’s mission goes forward through dependent, humble prayer. Our church prioritizes both individual and corporate prayer, along with specific times dedicated to intercession for others.

Pastoral Training

If the church is going to replicate, it needs laborers to send out. Those men must be trained. Our church prioritizes training future pastors and planters and sending those men out for the sake of the name.

Church Replication

Our goal in missions is the replication of other healthy churches. We prioritize church planting and revitalization, both locally and abroad, especially to the unreached peoples of the world. We happily partner with others in this great work.
