Pray for the children’s camp in Gorenechee. One of the other things that the Ukraine Mission Team will be doing is to conduct a VBS-style children’s camp in the village of Gorenechee. Each day part of the mission team will go to this village to minister to the children of this village and church. Pray as the team shares the gospel through Bible study, crafts, games and other means each day. Pray that God will open the hearts of the children to the good news of God’s love.
Pray for the people of Gorenechee. Village life in Ukraine is much different than life here in the United States. The people have very little of the material things that we have become so accustomed to. For some of the children who come to the camp, the camp will be the biggest event of their year. Pray that the team will love these children as Jesus would. Pray that the gospel message would be clear and that children will be born again.
Pray for the team ministering in Gorenechee. There are many barriers in trying to minister to people of a different culture. First of all, there is the language difference. Pray that God will break down the barrier of language that the team will be able to express clearly the good news of Jesus Christ. Pray that the team will be able to share the love of Jesus through their actions and deeds. Pray that the interpreters and the team members will have a good working relationship. Pray that God will be glorified and that people will come to know Christ this week.
