Today’s prayer focus will be on a sometimes forgotten part of church ministry. That ministry is the Nursery Ministry.
Pray for workers. One of the greatest needs in Nursery Ministry is always volunteers. A key ingredient in a growing church is a good nursery. People who visit a church, as well as those who regularly attend, want to feel comfortable with leaving their children with nursery workers. Pray that God will give people the desire to serve in the nursery.
Pray for leadership in the nursery. Having a good Nursery Ministry requires good leadership. Please pray for those who lead our nursery. Pray that all of our workers and leaders will have servant hearts. Serving in the nursery is not a glamorous position, but it is one that is very important. Help each worker to understand the importance of the ministry they are involved in. Helping with the nursery allows parents to worship and to hear the gospel.
Thank God for nursery workers. We have been blessed with great nursery workers. Please continue to pray for them regularly. Working in the nursery is a sacrifice, but one that has eternal reward. Thank God for those who are willing to give their time to serve Jesus by helping in the nursery.
Pray for the children in the nursery. Pray for the little ones that come to church every week. Pray that they will sense the love of God in the attitudes and actions of all our nursery workers. Thank God for the opportunity to minister to children each week in the nursery. Pray that these little ones will come to know Jesus as their Savior when God calls them.
